Here are some of my favorite pics I have taken over the past three years featuring 589nm. Many of these have never ben posted. The first part are pics using a 5mw DL 589 and Laserglow 593.5nm 6 mw. The more recent ones are using one or two 589nm 50mw DL's. There are so many pics to chose from, but I hope these pics show the absolute beauty of yellow lasers and will make interested members think real hard about getting a 589, whether from DL, or CNI, Enjoy them!

Incredible as always! If that doesn't make a person want a 589 then nothing will. Thanks Bruce.

Thank you very much Bowtieguy, nwfreefly, Greenlander, Sigurthr and Mr. Hak ! I had a blast sifting thru my yellow shots to post here. When I purchased my DL 589 5mw in December 2012, it cost more than the 50mw unit costs now! I agree with other members when they say hand held 589's over 5mw will be extremely hard to purchase when being shipped to the USA. I know one day (probably soon) you will go to DL website for the 589 and click on the different mw options, and the 50mw option will no longer be available.

Nice. I particularly like the ones with the slinky, pure genius is that.

The difference between 594 and 589 is noticeable. I prefer the redder tinge of the higher wavelength personally, but we will probably never see 594s in as good a portable package as these 589s, not now 589 has superseded it in DPSS.

hey Trencheel,
I photographed the slinky exclusively twice last year, with a simple set up, and a more complex set up as in the picture in this post. I really like the geometry of a stetched coil and the bright straight line of a laser. Maybe I will post some of them next as I think I had one or two pics in a Laser Art post and the one pic here, but never posted my usual amount from those photo shoots.

My Laserglow 593.5 6mw now only puts out about 2mw so I hardly photograph it anymore, but I do agree with you that I do like the 593.5 more a bit more.

Insanely awesome, as always Bruce. If I were selling lasers, I would commission you for photos. You make them look so irresistibly s3xy.
