Did some photo experiments with detergent in water with a 405nm, ( says <5mw), pointer with a cut gem style amethyst crystal as a target. Thought I'd share them.




Hope you liked them, please forgive quality still learning how to work with the camera. :undecided:

The jug is not the best, has labels, it's plastic etc. So I'm thinking of a 15gal fish tank some time soon.

I have tried suspending a crystal in regular drinking glasses, wine glasses, Pyrex dishes , etc and have gotten nice results using water, olive oil and some other liquids. The beams coming out of the enclosures look the best, keep on shooting

When i had my 1mW 405nm and i shone it through our fish tank the beam would be green in the water :confused: I am seriously not joking.

I get a faint green in my tap water.
Does fish poop have phosphates in it? Have to look that up.
