Here's a few of my 532nm DPSS lasers. Can you guess which is 100mW and which is 1W?

Both are CNI. The 1000mW is a lab laser. The 100mW is a portable. You can get them all over. I've sold lasers to universities, labs and governments for a long time so I have access to some really cool systems. Frankly, I don't sell many to individual enthusiasts mainly because the pricing is a bit higher than companies who market these products specifically to individuals. When you sell to a university, for example, you spend a ton of time mired in their bureaucracy and they expect to have immediate service for any questions they may have or even immediate replacement when one of their grad students drop the laser head. So companies, universities and governments will pay the premium for that kind of service. Enthusiasts won't. Most just want it cheap.

I got the YAG impact blast with a high speed video camera. Found the frame of the impact and saved it.
