My brothers and I had fun the other night on a fishing trip. My eldest brother was manning the camera, my next oldest was the "model," and I was in control of the pointer. Here's what we ended up with:

They're a bit odd, but I thought it was an interesting concept. It sure was a lot of fun either way.

At no time was the laser ever pointed towards his face. I was behind him with the pointer, not in front of him. C'mon, guys, do you really think me that careless?

hmmm.. possibilities indeed. A nice accommodating young woman would make a WAY better model, IMO.

Cool pictures non the less :) more of a green glow would have been cool, probably could achieve it with some fog.

Asherz - that's a great photo! Did you take that one? I'm not keen on the cropping/framing though, may I suggest a bit taller aspect ratio, more skin area to reflect the beams. :) ;)

Yeah, this was taken in a log cabin next to the Salmon River in Stanley, Idaho. In other words, in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I"ll try to get my brother to take off his shirt for the picture next time, though, if you think that might help.

Sorry guys just to clear up, I don't know her, nor did I take the picture. Just something I came across on Google a while ago.

The beam I imagine was run through a diffraction below pointing up, from there you would get the stretched dot effect.

I was just posting it as the perfect example :)

Sorry again for the confusion.

Damn, I was looking forward to seeing some more like that! I'll chat to my wife when she's had a couple of glasses of wine, see what we can do! Seriously though, artistically a lot could be done with lasers. I went to a dance party once where a girl dressed in an outfit covered with mirrors danced on a stage with a 5W argon laser system drew all over her. the effect was stunning.
