So, this is a formal request for a collection of beamshots, and dot pictures of rare and exotic wavelengths. That includes any wavelength from UV to IR. 473, 510, 589/593.5, 612, 604 (Aryntha!) 671, whatever you've got that is outside the general collection, post pics of it. My "end-game" for this basically includes a large thread full of exotic wavelength pictures for those who are planning a new investment, I think it'd be a cool place to keep them all.

Also if you feel this doesn't belong in multimedia (figured it fit since it's for pictures and such) but rather in the other colors section, the mods are free to move it (obviously :na:) Or if this has previously been done, then pardon the mistake and delete this thread

I'll put up a decent 473nm picture as soon as I settle something out with fleabay. Also, shouldn't you include 561nm?

561 too, I was just listing examples. If I listed everything I could think of. I'd just quote Aryntha's sig :p

Good comparison between 594.1nm (relatively uncommon) vs. 632.8nm (common).

Off to a good start =] Also, even though they aren't uncommon, even regular HeNe's and other gasses are permissible based off of coolness.

just 473nm & 593.5nm but I think sick shots... btw, here both are near 50mW

Yeah, and this particular unit, (WL S3 473nm), often exceeds 100 mW at least for a dozen or so seconds... The yellow never tops 55 mW and is a PGL III -C- 593.5nm about as much power, at this wl as a portable ever does.

Here's another 405's and a 660nm

I'm so sorry for this crappy shot..

I promise, my next buy is a good camera instead of a camcorder.

Smeer, if you don't mind, could you do some more beamshots of your 589? I'd love to see some pics of a near 100mW golden beam.

These first two show 405, 445, 532, 589, 635, 650nm pointers

This one is a comparison of 650, 635, 589, 532, 473, 445, & 405.

Here is a power reading and beamshot of the 473nm PGL-III-C I once owned.
The highest peak I've measured from this laser was >170mW. I still have never heard of or seen one as powerful as this one was. It was rated for 80mW!

Last is a 589nm CNI GLP at about 13mW

I wish I had my DSLR before I sold my big blue. :( I sold my awesome lasers to get my camera equipment.
All the photos here except for the yellow beamshot were taken with a Sony P&S. One day I'll re-collect these wavelengths and get some better pics now that I have a better camera (and better photography skillz).

Showing my 473, 635, 532, and a few seconds after this my 445 LED'd :(

532 started dimming before this one, shut off in the pic

These are probably my favorite pictures of my 473nm labby.
And the lens on the 473 is dirty...

Very nice pictures! :D

If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering how you take photos of multiple wavelengths simultaneously indoors that require different goggles like the 635nm, and 445nm. I can't imagine you guys are wearing more than one pair of goggles stacked on top of each other, and it doesn't appear that theres always a beam stop to collect the rainbow of various wavelengths...

I've actually been wondering about how you guys do this for a while. :p
