Thank you, man!! I'm getting a 470nm here in a few days; I wanna see if I swap that for the 445nm I used in this pic and see if I get different effects! Might as well throw the 520nm in there too to replace the 532nm I used if the two shades of blue make a noticeable difference! Although my guess is it won't be a very significant difference, if at all. XD

i have even better idea...use all of the wavelength in your collection!!!! what wavelength going to be in your collection next? 488nm(cyan/skyblue); 556nm,561nm(charteus/ puke green) or 589nm,593nm(yellow/amber)???

I'll try that tonight!! I so far have pretty much the basics: 405nm 445nm 520nm 532nm 635nm and 650nm. The 470nm I'm getting used those new direct diodes, so although I really want a 473nm DPSS, I may make that a later purchase now. 589nm would be AWESOME to compare to the yellow I get from my RGY handheld! That will prolly be my next, although a 561nm is my dream color laser. I've just never even seen a site selling a handheld 561nm...

there are no 561nm pointer.... you have to buy a dpss module for the rare wavelength and put it in a pen... if you need help just sent me a pm... i have the prices for all the rare wavelength and know a supplier...

Would I be able to trouble you to put it together for me? I'd obviously pay you first XD also, this would be in the future; not within the next couple days or anything. I wanna wait to build my first til I find a fellow enthusiast in my area to sit down with me for the project.

. And yeah I know what some of that is; I research building them all the time! I'm just such a hands on person and I know if I ever find an enthusiast in my area, I'm confident I can build something decent . I just want personal guidance sitting with me for my fist couple to reassure what I'm doing lolol Ohio doesn't seem to have many enthusiasts!

Isaac, there actually were some 561nm pointers sold by CNI awhile back, and they would still be available I would think but the 5mW ban has prohibited them from selling to the US. You're stuck with having to buy a module now.

Yeah, I read through that GB thread. Seems pretty odd how customs even stopped <5mw pointers from entering the country. I've spoken with you a bit already about this and had some new questions.
-How big are those 561 modules? Would they fit into a typical CNI pen host or would they require something bigger?

the high power version is 26mmx 55.5 mm.... while the lower power version size is that of a standard module..
