Diffraction Gratings! :D

So I got my diffraction grating(s) in the mail today. Just cheap thin film ones of ebay, but they work nice! Beams aren't the cleanest coming out, but you can't see it in photos, and they are tough enough to handle my 1.4 Watt 445 without melting.

The ones I got are only 500 lines/mm so I don't get too many beams. Will definitely be ordering some with a higher line/mm count.

I really need to get some more powerful lasers in other wavelengths so that I can take multi-wavelength photos.

WHAT? 500 lines and only 4 beams? I always thought 500 lines meant more beams  oh well, I don't research diffraction grating so I might have had the wrong perception

Make sure you use the center beam. It's the strongest I'm sure you noticed. Oh and a but load of power helps :p
That's what I did in my pics. I put a grating in front of each diffracted beam. I was using 180mw of 405 about 200 of 638nm and 100 of 532.

Yeah see my 1.4 Watt 445 washes out everything else, then the 532 washes out the 650 and 405, and the 650 washes out the 405.

I need more power in all the colors. :p

When is that not the case. Lol I'll be saying that for years to come no matter what power I have. I haven't even tried it with my new v3 set. More than double the power I used for the first pictures. For those I used my lab lasers so I had plenty of time to fiddle.

Ill just use the relative brightness program and get lasers of mW power that produce near equal brightness to each other.
