Hello,

I am creating a C6 rainbow kit that will be composed of fully anodized C6 hosts with the heatsink and focus knob. Once complete it will move to the B/S/T section for one very lucky buyer. ;)

*Still got some fibers on them from cleaning them off. I was in such a rush to get these up that I didn't even bother getting them off.

How extensive will this rainbow be? I.E. will there be just a 658 or 638, or both?

The goal is to have hosts for the following wavelengths:

405nm - Violet/Purple
445nm - Royal Blue
473nm - Aquanarine
532nm - Kelly Green
589.5nm - Golden Yellow
593nm - Sunshine Orange
635nm - Scarlet Red
660nm - Wine
Additional:
Black
Silver (Clear)

The yellows should be an adventure. I'll make sure to save for this. Any ideas on cost?

Well, unfortunately it'll be quite costly. Considering a C6 kit is $20, the knob is $20, and then the whole stripping and anodizing process for all the C6 parts is another $20-$40. Now multiply that by 10. Plus, I will be putting them all in a nice case, and likely have aixiz modules in all of them. (Mainly to hold on the knob.) So that's another $40.

So it comes out to $640-$840+ worth of parts and work. I'll most likely put it up for auction starting at $600. A whole lot of time goes into this, and the cost is likely to turn away most people. so I only intend to make one full kit. It is possible that more may be made though.

That barely covers the cost of the yellows alone.

Oh, no, I am not selling with the modules. This is merely the anodized hosts with focus knobs. It is up to the buyer to add in the modules. Phew, with all those lasers installed, the total would be much much higher. Takes half the fun out of the hobby if you were to buy all those wavelengths in one pretty packaged kit.

Very exotic idea... Wouldn't it be an interesting collection to have! :D
Good luck with this..

This sounds like an amazing idea, I can imagine all the work done just to make one single component from scratch.. hats off to you guys (your dad, and you)
