I have been chatting with David from BobLaser in China for almost a month and he has very patiently helped me with all my questions, doubts, even taking time to take a picture of the laser I was interested in getting being tested.
I kept thinking it was too good to be true, due to a few negative reviews I had read, but as usual the negative comments were the "its just another chinese junk/scam company".with no evidence to support it and most negative comments sounded very closeminded.

So here it is the first Official review on BobLaser's laser quality and with pictures and an actual LPM test with some help from "Ash" and a short video:
This is a model:

We ran the test about 4 times,
on the first it peaked at 346 or so,
2nd test was this one we filmed(361mw)
3rd test went to about 377mw. it's like the perfromance increased as it warmed up.
I would say pretty incredible, and I couldn't be happier.

will add more info and pictures as I upload them.
thanks for stopping by.

Re: BOBLASER official review thread

Glad to see someone use a meter with their review versus a "it seems around 200mW" comment. Did you test the output with the addition of an IR filter. I have purchased boblasers many many times. The only complaints I ever had were divergence, and some underspec. Looks like you got a nice laser there. What did they charge you?

Divergence seamed pretty decent, comparing it with a couple other lasers, I guess I could get some pics of it soon.ill put that on my to do list.

my Laser was at a discounted price, but their basic price for a
200mw laser is just under $200
and the 300mw is just under $300
and from there each 100mw extra costs about another $100 or so,
so the 400 =$400
500mw=$520
etc...
seams hey are always open for offers so prices could always drop.

It will take more than one laser before I believe Boblasers aren't junk.

I am happy you have a good laser. Looks like your diligence and time paid off. Personally I dont have the time to smooze a laser company a month to get a decent laser. But I'm sure that is probably the only way to get a decent laser from Bobs.

Re: BOBLASER official review thread(300mw laser actually 377mw)

I must say that they got some nice lasers indeed, i have evaluated a few in the past from Kevin from Boblaser. :tired:

Added much better and newer pictures.
have a new video that really shows the power of this thing, just need to finish editing and ill post it up.

I joined the forum to say one thing....Tech_Junkie...you are a bit of a tool. And I suspect a tool that once paid way too much
for a laser pointer.

Just paid for a 2.5W 980nm Laser from Kevin at Bob Laser.

After purchase he notified me that they were currently moving to a new facility and my order would be delayed. Shipment date is sometime in the next month supposedly.

Ill keep you guys posted!
