That is cool. Is it the sodium in the salt that fluoreces?

I don't know but it looks ever better in person, the video kind of messes it up. I wonder if you would get the same effect through a freshwater tank. maybe someone can confirm that:thinking:

You should be careful pointing that in your tank you wouldn't want to blind those expensive salt water fish. :p

That is pretty cool looking. BTW I have a 75 gallon fish tank too. Can't wait to get a 200.

Yeah, I can confirm that. I've got a freshwater, and it does the same thing. But the weird thing is, when you're looking down the beam, the one going down is florescent but the beam reflected back towards me is still violet. Anyone else see this?
