Here is my beater laser. It's a PS3 KES diode pushing about 30mW. That diode is not flexdrive or Rckstr driver worthy. So it's just got a simple LM317 driver. It's not even host worthy. So I made it in like 15 minutes with hot glue and some plexi glass. Even though it looks like $hit, surprisingly it has lasted a hell of a long time; like a year. 10+ hours I'm guessing, like 5 9v batteries. :D

Cool. Why not make it host worthy? I feel it is worthy.

BTW, looks like a lot of Math (tm) went it to building that laser! :hehe:

Meh. The problem is that the 317 needs like at least 6.5v to work with that diode and I don't know what host to get. Nor do I wanna spend any money on it. I'm cheap. hehe

Also I blew most of my play money on my new 445nm build. That one sure as hell doesn't get the plexi glass build. That one is host worthy.

Behold!

I have several builds like this. :D My first 405nm build was a 7805 circuit that powered the diode with 38mA. The board, Aixiz module, and 9v battery were rubber banded together with a clicky switch to make my first blu-ray pointer! I paid $35 for that 10mW diode in a group buy. Because of my bad soldering job, I could turn the head of the aixiz module and the + wire would hit the red diode and it would turn red.
