Here's a 30 sec image of the Milky Way bulge.
The laser beam (a 445nm blue) was a quick few sec burst during exposure.
Taken using a Canon 5DII on tripod, 16mm at ISO 3200, f/3.5, 30sec.

Hope you like it.

One word comes to mind................. AWESOME!!!!!!

Very nice work mate. I must get a good camera soon. The old Olympus Camedia just
don't cut it any more. Now if I only could find some money somewhere. :>)

That is one amazing shot!! Nice work!

I need to take a drive out into the country with my camera and lasers..

Beautiful photo RB!
Lasers and stars, you can't beat that combination.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice work Astro, whats the name of that star about 7mm to the right of the beam termination. I am sure it has a catagorie number! :D

Thanks everyone, glad you like it.
Yes love combining my two hobbies, astro-imaging and lasers.
Everyones knowledge on here's invaluable for a noob like me.
Just need to be careful I don't shoot down any UFOs and create another Area 51.

This is amazing! Every time I see these pictures you take I get inspired. Time to plan a country trip. Maybe tomorrow night I'll find a black patch o' sky and set her up. Only downside is that my ISO performance could be a lot better. Maybe I will see if I can pick up a few stops of light elsewhere.

Ah thanks guys, glad you liked it.
Oh how I'd love to visit Texas.
Maybe one day.

:)
