Happened to catch the tragic event on tape. Now Posted on YouTube for educational purposes. Bless you all. Horrible laser experiment gone bad. Wicked lasers Spyder III Arctic burns right eye, retina unrepairable. 7,000+ in surgery there after. The Arctic is not a toy and can permanently blind you. Buyers beware!! Beware all that didn't do their research before hand (like me). I am glad to have atleast got this on camera to share to the world.

So I don't know if I should believe this or not.

I am with you, is his a hoax or is it real?

I did not see any safety glasses! This is a lesson learned the hard way, sad to say. I figured this was going to happen sooner or later.

2 reasons why this may be really (not saying it is):
1.He isn't wearing glasses
2.He is holding the camera by his face. So when the reflection of the beam hits the mirror it appears almost to hit the camera, his face is near that so it is a possibility.

It could be entirely fake though too! I am waiting him to come back and reply before I say this is real or fake.

FAKE..

Did you really have to create a whole new youtube account for that..
I did create a new youtube account so that my family and friends that follow my established youtube account didnt go freaking out. I wanted to share this with close family and friends privately. I'm sure you can respect that. Thanks...

Seriously...wow...

Highly irresponsible to be shining it in a mirror, reflecting it right back at you without glasses..I'm sure you know that now, and if this is real, then I feel for you...

I can only imagine what the 13 year old kipkay winners are gonna do with one...

Strange Days have found us. That beam appears to have missed by going over the right shoulder. I smell law suit from afar.
Why would you shine it into a mirror in the first place? What did you expect?
Most unusual "experiment". The beam was moving fast and the CCD does not appear damaged.

Yes dumb. I have no grounds for a law suit. I was the one at fault.

This has to be a sick joke no one is so stupid as to miss the warning flyer that comes with every Arctic, it's big and bright so you wont miss it, it even has warning pictures and if you have ordered the worlds most powerfull hand laser and don't read the instructions then you deserve every thing your stupid ass got, this is what is called natural selection, would you like me to send you a few pounds of black powder to play with now and you can finish off your tree
