Soldering is calming if it goes as planned.. and can drive you into total rage when it doesnt quite work out and there seems no way left to clean up the mess but to start over ;)

lol.....get it molten and shake really hard......cleans it right up.

Or you could blow on it through a pen.
Or use some kind of desoldering tool ::)

I use desolder wick for most of the reworking i do, esp through hole stuff, but for some SMD stuff every now and again.
