I doubt it would be superior, I ran the diodes in this build at lower currents and I used a waveplate to maintain beam profile. Yours have fewer optics and as such will be more powerful since not as much power will be lost in the optics.

what kind of waveplate did you use ?Do you have link were I or members could get one?

I use a 1/2 wave plate coated for the blue spectrum.

Stanwax lasers has them. He's a member over on our sister forum PhotonLexicon. I am not sure if he has an LPF account.

Here's the link to his shop. They should be back in stock soon, they are popular.
He also has them for 638nm diodes.
1 2 Waveplate Blue

He also carries really good PBS cubes, highest transmission I've come across in a budget cube.

The customer service there is also really good, he's a really nice guy.

Edit: When setting them up you have to turn them until the beam comes out the other side of the cube, I've found it's about a 1/6 clockwise turn from the flat part.

Double edit: How hard are yours to align? I like the way the second diode is mounted on them, directly into the cube. I need to look at alignment solutions for the next multi-diode laser I'm making for myself.
