612nm Arrived Today!

So with much anticipation and nervousness my 612nm HeNe arrived safe and sound today with some pretty excellent packaging. I don't feel like going into all of that though. It's here. It works. Lets get to photos.

Nice photos. I'm surprised you got what appears to be a fogless beam out of 1.6 mW. It's a very nice orangey-red colour too, I really like it.

Had to mess with the camera settings a bit, but yes they are without fog.

Hey! My 654 is next to a 612, lucky little laser

That's a good picture, clearly shows the difference in color!

Awesome! That is one HeNe color (and 594nm) that is on my "to get" list. Although it might take me quite a while to get one

I wasn't sure how orange to expect it, but it is very noticeable and a very nice color. My 594nm HeNe should be here tuesday. Hopefully it arrives functioning as well.

Yeah, you got me to pull out a few of mine and run them. What do you think of the color?
IMHO, The 612 is really a tangerine color orange.

But once you get the 594, if you run it without the 612, it will look very orange -- that is until you put the 612 next to it.

It was $499 shipped. Included lab style power supply.

The color is very interesting. I need to get a diffraction grating though. If you look hard enough in person you can almost see the hints of whatever the other colors are. I'm curious to see the other line I'd assume they are 594nm and 604nm

Nice deal on it! Last I had looked getting an orange in good condition was close to $700. My 594.1 was $550 shipped, but it is N.O.S. direct from Dr. Sam and very high output.
