I don't have my dichro yet, but I found a piece of dichroic glass from an old gobo wheel. It seemed to work OK, so I got a clamp, some tissue paper and set about aligning it :D

The blue drifts off quite quickly, but it's just temporary until my real dichro and mount arrives either this week or next week.

445 is at about 50% in these pics :)

Nope, the green is a lasercentury 150mW module (Doing about 200mW), red is a 200mW laser-wave 640nm, and the 445 is a DIY one, using a cheap DX red heatsink and a die4drive. DT25 galvo's, 25Kpps :)

Did a quick raster, I'm sure you'll know who it is .. :)

Okay we got RickRolled by Things' scanner.
How 'bout that?

I never though about using heatsinks from red cheap DX modules! Awsome idea! Since I am building a scanner , I need some way to make labby heatsinks for good duty cycles and that look solid... that certanly fits the description! And it's cheap!

Imma go look on DX for those now. Thanks!

No proper video's yet, the blue can't stay aligned long enough for it :( Now I know why they make dichro mounts out of metal and not toilet paper :p

As for the heatsinks, only other thing i can think of is to keep an eye out on eBay, or on LPF here. DX may get them back in stock eventually.

Maybe Chuck Norris gets beaten up behind a corner :p

I send PM to Dino asking for special purchase of those, perhaps we can arrange something.
Ebay, you never know from who are you buying ... but maybe worth a shot, I'll go see.

EDIT:
Found:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Laser-Modules-H...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19be0ba8a7

But since I need at least 3, it's kind of expensive. I'll wait for Dino to reply.

Only ones I could find are kind of different from DX reds and they cost $15 each. That's almost double than ones from laserlands.

Hmm, guess it's waiting time for Dino's reply then.

Your going to use that for a 445??
For everything , since I need them all equally mounted (equal level), they seem to be perfect fit , hightwise, for O-like's dichros and mounts.

I also will install couple of fans to keep it all cool, so to speak :p

Why are you asking?
