They actually use DPSS 532nm for that? I would have thought it was IR or UV.

LoL, I have one of those with my face engraved in it ;D The green must get absorbed pretty well, but not well enough to be stopped by the surface :-/
And they're not really crystals, just glass or plastic.

So it is basically a pulsed high-powered laser with a relatively thick beam passing trough a lens with relatively short FL and then directed into the "crystal" with a galvo mounted on the Z-axis of a 3-axis CNC-controlled portal?

Anyone have any idea about how many watts?
