EDIT: it turns out that it isn't an Optotronics RPL. I'm still trying to figure out who made it.

I just got my 200mw 532nm RPL that I bought from 09speed3. Overall, it's physical condition is good, with just a couple marks here and there. However there is no Optotronics sticker on the unit anywhere. There is a little sticker in the battery compartment with the serial number, wavelength, and power. Oh, when I looked at the label, it says its 250mw, instead of 200mw like he listed it at. I don't have my meter yet, so I can't verify these numbers. I will update this when my Kenometer comes in.

This is my first RPL, and I really like how heavy and sturdy it feels. This thing is really bright! It's my most powerful green so far. I had a hard time taking beam shots with this low end camera, but I posted a picture below anyway. I can't wait to try this thing outside at night.

Ok now there is a slight problem with the dot, it has a little artifact that is visible on the side of the dot. I'm not sure what's causing this to happen. Although the artifact is a little annoying, I still love this laser. I'm going to take some videos and post them later. Here are some pics:

EDIT: New night beam shots. They were the best I could do with my camera, but it looks so much better in person.

EDIT 2: All the pics above were with my camera on automatic mode, which didn't nearly capture the full power of this laser. I just now tried setting it to night mode, take a look:

EDIT:
I just got my kenometer with data logging today. Here are some graphs of this laser. The pics are kinda big, just click the links:

no smoke on the beamshot

You say it looks like an O-like? Dang! It better not be. It could explain why there is no Optotronics sticker to be found

Re: 250mw Green RPL

hey as long as your happy -what did you pay for it

I'm happy, but I would have been happier knowing it was an RPL. I got it for $189 with a pair of wicked laser goggles, charger, two 18650's, and a PHR in aixiz module. So for that price, I can't really complain. But I got my hopes up about it being an RPL. Oh well, I have my blue RPL coming either tomorrow or Monday. Thanks for your help, I'm still going to search to see who made this laser. I guess I could contact techlaser or o-like and see if they have this serial number on file.

so you said to take the lens cover off to see if it can be adjusted? Or cleaned? It doesn't look easy to take apart. BTW, the shades will be listed for sale soon, I have enough pairs already, lol.

Re: 250mw Green RPL

wait john, you said your RPL was 12.5 inches? Opto's site says they are 200mm long. Mine is about 212mm long. So I'm a little confused.

Re: 250mw Green RPL

I guess it does look like an o-like, but on their site they are listed as 198mm long, and this is about 210mm long. I don't know if maybe mine is a little older model, or what. I'm gonna email susie and see if this serial number matches any of her records.

You know what, the way yo usaid "O-like RPL" got me thinking. Do most people refer to them this way? Because his thread never said "Optotronics RPL", it just said, "RPL". I just assumed it was Opto because RPL is the name of their models.
