Oh, yeah but it's not filmed yet. I'm just announcing the new video. I've an urge to film a new video using this 2W but I need some ideas. Is there anything in particular you want to see burned. Keep in mind it's a CW laser so don't expect me to cut plate steel with it but if you've always wanted to see something burned but never had the power to do it, let me know. By the way...all body parts are strictly off limits! I'll do as many as feasible and put you down as a contributor! I've give you a week or so for ideas. Please be realistic.

One further stipulation, the filming will be done in the lab so it must fit, not emit too noxious of fumes, etc.

Printed circuit boards. Burning something like an old motherboard/graphics card would be cool.

thats what I was going to suggest :p.

maybe burn through a black plastic cup with water in it? lol just throwing around ideas ::)

Get one of those firecrackers with a waterproof fuse and light it underwater.

How about a dead critter body part? I almost had a working CW 2-3W YAG but sold it as I never had time to get it properly aligned, but I always wanted to see what, if anything, that wavelength would do to flesh (animal flesh, maybe like raw chicken, pork, etc) as compared to a CO2 laser on flesh. I know YAGs are used for surgery but curious as to what power level they could burn flesh.

I'd like to see it pumping a KTP crystal if possible too, I realize there wont be much green involved, but it would still be cool to see :)

Lighting something under water would be cool too :D
