Nice laser!, Now we are laser brothers. Get the focus adaptor though you are going to be burning your fingers all over the place without one!

Incredible, that laser's beam is as visible as a 100mW green's. I've never actually seen pics of comparing a 12X BR's beam to another laser.

Nice and compact! May I ask where you got this 12X laser? Did you just go off and buy a $100 pioneer 12X bluray DVD burner, or did you manage to just get the sled? Also, what power are you running this at, in terms of mA? Else yeah, surprised how bright the beam is!

Dave built it for me with a diode from a BDR-205 in a jayrob host.
It's set on 365mA. It could be a lot higher like the ones yobresal has but I was afraid that the diode lives only for some hours
Optical output is 495mW and yeah for a 405nm it's really! bright :D
