Your friend got a direct hit from a Nova X125!! ;D To be honest I'm surprised that it is that bright from that distance. That video is awesome by the way.

Amazing how bright the laser looks at that distance. Nice vid, but too bad your friend didn't use a tripod for the cam. It's a bit shaky. ;)

It's pretty amazing how bright lasers are when looking directly at them, no matter how far you are away. Perhaps i could try to find an even longer free path, since i live on the 15th floor and that makes the horizon far, far away.

stop by Walmart if you have one nearby and purchase a tripod $14 or so . I've seen tripods as cheap there for digital cameras around $5.

I use a microphone stand with the clip on mic holder for smaller lasers the Kryton fits right inside a normal microphone holder. That would be great for actually shooting long distances as it's not moving then the person with the camera can move around the beam instead of moving the beam and trying to catch it.
