Contact Chuck at AixiZ.com --last week he showed me a set of labby RGBs he just got in and will be adding to his store ( I think ) soon--dont know the output or price ATM and IIRC it had some active cooling but was TTL not analogue-AFAIK- They ship super quick from Houston and have excellant customer support and a warranty too. Tell him Len sent you and that you are LPF.

If i find that info out I will post it here.

So you guys can build the individual RGB modules? What is the diff between analogue and TTL? Does that have to do with the blanking/modulation?
The modules and the galvos are the heart of the projector so I will need those first.

Well, I like to think my design has certain advantages... and it's already built of course...

No fighting from me Andy, I think we're better than that. Besides, you need to get to know that mill of yours first anyway .

How's she going, BTW?

How do I figure how much power I need for each individual color to get the proper color/white light balance.

Dont worry about analog vs ttl modulation too much, its always possible to replace the stock drivers with better ones.

To get proper white, you would need about 3x the power of the green in 445 nm, and also 3x its power in 635, If the red is 650-660, you would need 10 times the power output on the red to match.

Getting that much power of red can prove costly and problematic though, so many projectors work with an overdose of green. This shouldn't be that big a problem within reason, since the viewwers eyes will adapt to some degree. The trade-off is between brightness and color neutrality, but most will sacrifice the latter for a brighter projection to some degree.

so If I had 1w of 532nm then I need 1w 445nm and 1w 635

That is essentially what's being said, yes. The trouble would be in getting 1 watt of 635nm in a nice size and beam spec. For lower output this would not be such a problem and a 3 watt projector is...

... not small.

Spot on. Since the blue moved to a direct output diode, (albeit multimode with poor beam specs), the poor cousin is now the red. Not having worked with 635nm I can't comment much here but it's the same problem, just a different colour now. I can't wait to see the trouble direct output greens are going to give us whenever they decide to turn up! (If at all... )
