Re: Source for Laser controllers and some laser sh

I'm mostly curious , where can I find the good stuff?

Lose elements would be nice, like galvos and all that jazz to make them work, to control them.
Any good place that you would recommend? Yeah, it ain't cheap, I know...

Ok... I was afraid to hear that, too obvious and I should have mentioned it.

What I meant was not ebay... Unless it's a ebay-store - got a link(s)?

Re: Source for Laser controllers and some laser sh

Ok, here's the deal:

I have a new projector design and I need some galovs plus the stuff to drive them. They need to be small, but still good quality and fast. Most importantly I need the dimensions and specs.
The best thing would be to find a good site where I can look at different galvos with different prise ranges.

I could, say, rip a scanner apart and take whatever I need, but that would be such a waste. Plus I don't get the specs I need. (This projector may not be full colour, even if it ever will be built. But damn, yes, I do/i] want full colour!)

So, do you know a good place that I can look at some galvos? I appreciate it very much, I need this to perfect my plans and design.

Re: Source for Laser controllers and some laser sh

Because it's only for the plans (for now) there isn't really any prise range. I just want to look at some different galvos, and then decide what will fit my needs.
Well... it need to be somewhat affordable. If there's something good and cheap I'll take that to my design, they need be small and as fast as possible for a nice effect.

I'm asking for your advise, to point me in the right direction :)

PS, I saw the new pics, good stuff!

Thanks a billion! That site is looks great, good options for my design. I can't find any information about the dimensions, but I can ask them about that.

Many, many thanks!

Re: Source for Laser controllers and some laser sh

I bought 30k scanners from www.laserphoto.com but the homepage seems to be offline.

Cheap and they seem to be good quality. I also bought some 10k from them just for fun...it was like 150 euros for the 30k's and 40 euros for the 10k!
I made a group buy on a Swedish electronics forum and one of the members is living China, in the same province, so he picked them up and repackaged them for us to get the postage down.
We bought 19 sets of scanners (5x 10k, 9x 20k & 5x 30k) including DMX-cards and it came down to about 2400 euros including shipping, taxes etc. and as a bonus they sent me a 10k set extra! (not for sale!) :)

Beware of laserpic.com that has the same stuff for sale. It seems that an employee of laserphoto got fired for taking money, selling stuff on the side etc. and that he is running laserpic. If you read some of the manuals on that site they still read "laserphoto"...
