Hi Guys,

Let's get this out of the way first... when it comes to projectors at present I know nothing. (Or what I consider to be nothing.) I'll be working to remedy this, but want to apologize in advance if I say something very stupid/n00bish :yabbem:

So I was wondering, has anyone tried the Reke 450 RGB:

Reke 450 RGB

There is tons of information on the 500, but I haven't seen anything about the 450.

Well this does not looks like 445nm:

We should Ask about it.

Good point. I'll shoot cherrylee a PM... if it is 470 (473) to me that would make it a worthwhile purchase by itself.

I wouldn't doubt it if it was a 473nm laser. They are trying to get rid of crappy old-tech at REKE. If you look at the specs for the projector it has inferior performance specs compared to even the (bottom of barrel) reke 500mW (Stepper motors, no ILDA, etc...). Their newest model projectors have "fat-beam" greens and should be lined up better.

I have 2 REKE 500mW's and [one from lasersman, one from REKE] both of them suck* compared to "professional" level projectors (but for the price are great).

-ETA: If it's being sold at "lasersman" then it was surely binned by REKE for low-performance.

*No thread on it, but I have had to fix both (beams were out of alignment and the focus was off on Reds on one projector, and Green laser was faulty/dim in other one)

PM incoming:)

Even it is old tech, I wanted a 473nm laser for a while now... if it comes on a PJ, even an old crappy one, for the price it would be ok.

The Reke-09RGB does show "470nm" in the info sheet, but I'm pretty skeptical of the 100mW blue claim if it's 473nm, especially at $180/pc. Also some of the videos on the net show a blue that has a more dark blue appearance than 473nm. I could not find the projector on Reke's site.

Very interesting! I guess if it's confirmed to be 473nm (I'm waiting for a reply) than I'll get one. If not then there is really no point.

I started this posthours ago in notepad, I have been losing a lot of stuff trying to do long posts at the forum...so many have chimed is since I started --forgive..

Maybe i can shed some light (pun intended) this listing was one I contacted LPKath and Kathy(no longer work for LM/YL or DD or so I am told.

HUGE error in title, I suggested them to change ASAP..

. its still there- TTL not analog..seven colors not 'FULL'

Find me a 'full color RGB' at that price & I will take ten. Its seven color.
here is the back(I hope- more than just typos and wrong descriptions happen including pics of units that are wrong)
No ILDA... DMX, Im told is neat and fun to use but nothing like REAL SW.

As always the sound mic works poorly for going with the music-from all cheep PJ. the knob above supossidly controls how (in)sensitive to the music you desire. These set-ups work best (but still not good) when the PJ is close to a speaker preferably a big ass woofer.(many broken PJs have vibrated of a DJs speakers-always secure all projectors well/
the dip switches (above the DMX in/out) enable you to switch modes- sound or auto.
They are 'explained' poorly in the paper work also the 'chart' on the top of the PJ shows the positions.

the built in animations (in those that can) are not to impressing and get boring fast. DMX wont make animations for you.

Whats missing is the knob that allows size of image from a dot to big as it gets, All the above missing things are found on the 500RGB REKE now priced $300+..
from the pic alone that show the front I see fat big mirror- so it has stepper motors not galvo scanners. Only beams and crude animations. Small club DJ lsaser at best. In now way except the eye bolt on back is it a 'legal' show laser.

so now I will look at the poor excuse for a spec sheet.

as I thought ...steppers
you can forget the 470 blue its 445nm.imo

no ilda means no wanta

cherrylee and all sales staff no nothing really technical anbout PJs.

she can asks somebody for you--but if THEY knew these well there would be way less errors in the discriptions.

you may confirm and read accurate spec sheet at Reke.com

but why waste your time- you dont want this.

try this on for size...

DJ Equipment/100mw 532nm Single Green Laser Star Party Stage Projector (Auto & Sound &DMX512& ILDA PC)Reke-91G

I doubt the s/d card in the specs- see the photo below of the back-- behind the 'M' you see a db 25 ILDA port.

I see no card slot but i may be wrong ,if so that makes this even more desireable.

When the 500rgb went back up on price the first time I looked hard at this one as an alternative..
except for the missing R&B it all the same as the 500rgb.

Specifications:
Model: Reke-91G
Laser Power: Green 100mW
Laser Color: Green
Wave length: Green 532nm
Power supply: 100V---250V
Frequency: 50-60Hz
Product Name: 100mw Green animation laser light with sd card function
Series: animation laser show system
Play Mode: Sound active, Auto, DMX512, SD Card
Laser Pattern: More than 128 patterns and effects
Scanner: High speed scanner 10K
Scanning Angle: Plus-minus 30 degree
Cool System: Fan
Stability: About 4 hour
Warm-up Time: Less than 15 minutes
Working Temperature: Between 10 degree to 35 degree
Inner Box Dimension: 36.5 x 24 x 16.3cm/14.3 x 9.4 x 6.4in

I thought 'this is a good deal' so I have one on the way- maybe monday..

it would make a fair satilite PJ as-is( but FAR from legal for public shows) and IMO its got a high potential for modding. It has all the 'missing' stuff from this stepper, no ilda, FULL COLOR(NOT!), reke 450.

EDIT: I can't read for crap. I see 470 now. I'm not surprised either, those B&W TEK labbies are in the $50 ballpark, but this is 100mW of it, I'd buy it and gut it just for the 473.

I found it-all the same mistakes

450mw RGB Motor Laser Light (reke-09RGB) - China Rgb Laser,Rgb Laser Light,500mw Rgb Laser in Stage Lighting
same mistakes so it was copypasta at its worst.

Wat ??? those ebay-near-the-end of -life B&W labbies are at that price cause the seller got a crapload of them- has nothing to do with he real world price of a 473nm lab laser especially at that power--duH? is it june 5 yet??

bad news is I found my reke91G 100mW and the description makes NO mention of SD card OR ILDA-- so I am expecting the worst.
the pic at reke does not show the back- I sent questions to REKE to see if there may be two versions.

time will tell

That's for the reply Hak.

Unfortunately I suspect you're right and it's 445nm in there... which if it is, then this projector is not worth it.

Hopefully Cherylee will get back in an answer.

When I do get a PJ, RGB is a requirement... so I think I'm probably just going to wait for the reke 500 to fall in price.

While the target price I have in mind is $250... if it comes to under $300 I think I'll grab it.
