hello,

I decided to build a simple laser scanning system.
I was looking for programs that can use the sound card as a DAC converter, but I almost found.

I found programs for Amiga computers (laser1000?) But the windows need amiga emulator and the programs do not have good graphics and setting is also difficult.

Furthermore, I found the program Spehgetti after downloaded from the Internet and started, the program requires a license key: o (

Can you please suggest some free alternative?

Thank you and have nice day. Milan

to the Forum...

Why are you writing in BOLD...
Don't forget to read the Newcomers section and the Forum Rules...
The [Search] button is your friend...

You would find much more info on scanners here....

We also have a growing laser show section here on LPF with the info you seek.

LFI player is an excellent free option for a sound card DAC.

Thank you very much,

LFI player is exactly what I was looking for.

I noticed that the program can turn on the blanking.
Someone tried to use another channel sound card for this purpose?
Can this program work with, or going only to the x / y without blanking?

thank

The easiest way I know of to create your own .ild frames is to use InkScape (free) to trace the image you want and save it as a specific vector file. You then open this vector file in ILD SOS ($25 here). Then you tune the file to look best on your system and save it as a .ild file.

No worries, Jerry. You directed him to where the real experts are.. PL is the place to go to get advice from actual pros who do rock concerts, raves, conventions, etc. so it's very good advice to tell anyone interested in laser shows to go there.

pity that the ILD program SOS is not a free license.
There is no program like LFI player who would include system development in the creation of custom graphics?
Something like this program?

If you can - download and see.

The program is only in my native language - "CZECH"
after installing select "Test signal" - "test 1"
Then select the tab "Nastavení výstupu" and tick "Zapnot výstup"
go back on the tab "Dráhy" choose "Štětec" and drag the mouse over the graphic field pressing the left mouse button.

Hum monkeytools, Sergey's free software (search PL or ask in PLs software forumn) popelscan, H E laserscan.

ILD Sos was only 15$ and is worth every penny.

Microsoft offers FREE Express versions of their development tools like C++, C#, etc. So, if you can't afford laser show software you could use somehing like that to write your own. That's what I did. What's cool about it is that after you spend a few years writing your program you can give it away to everyone for free so that they can use it, too.
