I own the PT-30ks for about 1 month and they seem to work great. Much better quality then my no name 15ks. PT is one of those companies people dont have terrible things to say about and they dont have great things to say about them. Just about everyone iv talked to is happy with the pt-30ks, seems to be the next best thing compaired to the DT, which everyone raves about over at PL but $$$$.
I have a strange suspicion that most everyone on PL is biased towards a few UK vendors and will talk shit on just about anything that they don't sell.
good luck

Well yea, though if you are ever offered an DT scanners, go for it :)

I have some DT25's that were discontinued a while ago and replaced by the DT30's, however my DT25's will easily scan 30Kpps and at reasonable angles too.

Now the DT-40 wides ARE impressive!! 90º scan angle is nuts. Steep price and even then iv read that the PSUs supplied with the DT-40w is not sufficient.
