but as mario said no you cant just plug in into the jacks you need to solder before the capacitors

kool, would it be possible to jump the leads before the caps, onto the sockets ? or is it just easier to solder onto the board ?

just solder the to the boards dont go to the sockets.

its very simple.

and for thickness 1/4"-1/2" should be good.
sweet. Thanks and how do i have it so i can change from ilda to dmx easily.

as far as i'm aware the DMX board has some kind of autodetect function that switches from DMX to ILDA when a signal is present (you'll have to ask maybe someone at lasershowparts about this)
I dunno if this has already been said, but shorting the interlock on the ILDA connector, then connecting it to the SP20's program board, causes it to auto-switch every time you hook up your DAC

oh ok probably not read that one.

looks very similar to ym case but it only has a 300mw green in it and it has heat issues.

Normal drill will do... drill press is best, with a little tapping oil works really well.
Slow and steady through alum it tends to heat up and then the bit gets stuck and breaks.

;D haha.. nah a normal DIY'ers drill will do, you'll get a feel for the speed it needs to be... oh yes small bits don't do well in thick alum, 3mm and up work the thinner the bit the more likely it is to break....
