New Laser Mods maybe???

Hi Hi

I have recently come into possession of a pretty nice laser show. Its not that old and it works great. BUT, it has stepper motors, and it looks like poop. If i were to switch out the stepper for, say, 20k galvos or something, would it move a lot smoother and not compromise the presets? or would it totally mess everything up. Keep in mind this laser was not VERY expensive (yes i have a variance and all that jazz) and it is not software controlled so i dont think i have any control over that. but is this a reasonable modification? Sorry if this is the wrong forum, first post.

3rd... Stepper Motors and Galvos use completely different
drive circuitry....

I see, WELL, time to bite the bullet and spend money!

Any kind of laser show hobby is gonna drag you into the money pit. Once you start, you can't get out (I came into laser shows thinking I could buy a cheap RGY from ebay with steppers, and now I have spent over $2000 on laser shows )
