do you think it would be a better deal to order the glass from that link i posted? then to go to the store and pick them up.

dude, take it a bit slower...this is a huge gamble and massive investment. 10- 6 x 6 inch pieces of glass at 10.00 for the set, that is only slightly less than 1.00 ea, and if they hit you up for 10.00 to ship it, are you really willing to gamble $20.00 for big square pieces of glass that you dont know will really work? Not to mention you will have to cut down and find a very high torque motor to spin that beast.

I for one would NOT be willing to put my families financial future at jeopardy for just the chance you might get one piece that will work. This deal sounds like a very VERY risky investment. Just to give you a fighting chance to protect your portfolio, if you order one of my lumia effect wheels here-

MicroLaserLabs.com

I will wave the shipping charges, so you will pay a total of $6.00 delivered to your door, Please for the sake of GOD consider this offer. I know it flies in the face of people who have researched this stuff and they know what they are talking about, but for the love of GOD consider your future and your childrens future, this decision CAN NOT be taken too lightly. I am not saying you have to buy this from me but PLEASE think of the ramifications.

Pushing it close to sarcasm much? The main reason i am worried about buying yours is it plastic and it seems like there would be less loss threw a glass piece. and i need them to be about 2.5in for my rig. Btw does any on know where to get Fresnel lenses, i got some from a local store they work but the kill the dot by making huge lines come out of it will try to get a pic. i wanted to get a somewhat random beam searching pattern.

LMAO he has been sarcastic the whole time in case you missed it.

Go away Pat. We are doing a DIY project and trying to do it as cheap as possible. If you dont agree with this...oh well. If we wanted to buy kits, we would have bought them long ago. We want to make OUR own. So stop wasting everyone's time. You wanted me to leave you alone, then leave me alone, and stop acting like an a$$.

the sarcasm was not meant for you...it is the obvious finger pointed at individuals who are clueless.

PM me your address and I'll send you one for free, postage paid. You can compare it to a glass one you find. You can inform tech junkie that I have not responded to any of his threads / post, yet he still responds to my post. I think that people who dont consider others peoples time (as TJ does) valuable dont value their own time. I value my time and if I take a .50 cent piece of plastic, make it round, drill a hole in the center, take pictures of it, make a webpage, post it on the web page, posting it on a forum, taking the orders, paying paypal fees, buying the envelopes, postage on envelope, going to the post office..takes time and time is money and there is nothing wrong with being paid for WORK...which when some people get a free ride too long they forget what it is like to WORK for a living.

I dont see tech junkie riding mo's ass or jayrob, or dr lava, flamingpryo or any one of a few other dozen guys for making a profit on LPF, but I post something for sale and he rides my ass...well as soon as he catches up to my ass he can kiss it.

FYI - your local phone book, "glass shops", walk in and tell them you are a hobbiest and they will give you glass...free. trust me, i have been researching this for a long time and i know what i am talking about (sarcasm pointed at self proclaimed researchers)

Jayrob ect have been a part of this forum for a long time. They all contribute money regularly to help the forum, and spend just about all their free time helping members without asking for sales. And WE all know who you were directing your sarcasm at. So please stop, and lets move forward.

dont fall in the same trap of comparing apples to oranges...a common problem with some individuals. they are different animals, one is plastic, one is glass, both will do swirlly patterns on the wall, the patterns could be different, no two patterns are the same. THEY ARE DIFFERENT

on thing that flies over the heads of some is value. What is the value of clicking on my link and buying something instantly or following one of my more sarcastic suggestions or reinventing the wheel...its stupid.

It is like weighing the brass and steel in flamingpryo's diode pusher and coming to the conclusion that one could go out mine his own ore, smelt it down cast your own rods of material, machine the material and then sell it cheaper than you could buy flamingpryo's perfect design. ITS STUPID!

As with my front surface mirrors, click and buy...but no...you could go to ebay buy a junk projector, have it shipped to you get all the optics out and the huge thick front surface mirror get it out , cut it up and yada yada freakin yada...all to save a couple of bucks. It is not the same thing I am offering...apples you want to taste like oranges...they are different.

ignorance thats all it is... I said no charge...i mean no charge..but dont come back to me and say it dosnt have the same weight as glass...because it isnt glass...its a freakin apple...not an orange.

I know the pattern will be different but i am just looking to see if it will block to much light. And if it does is it worth having one pre done for a setup. I am not expecting them to be the same but i do want to see the difference as i have never seen someone take a picture and right beside it another.

i hear what you say...but 10 guys can look at the same girl and have 10 different opinions.

If you are using 1 mw, yes you will have a problem with both, if you are using 10 mw you will have 1/10 of the problems, if you are using 1 watt you will have different effects...probably the plastic will melt if it stays in one problem...they are apples and oranges, one dosnt taste better than the other unless you like the other one better...its simple.

I won the auction with the lot of Hankscraft motors. I am planning on making a bunch of TTL lumia wheels and selling them to people that use my Spaghetti software. I think that they will go well with it.
