I dont own that projector but hear its great for the price. It will do what you want. Any laser with an ILDA interface(which the reke has) should be able to display custom frames with a DAC and some software. It has 10k scanners which is VERY slow but im sure you can work that out with some exposure setting in your camera.

I concur it should work fine for your purposes... you can jack the scan speed super low in Spaghetti and use a long exposure to get a full image.

I have the RIYA lite, you can also use the audiolase DAC. Those two are pretty much the only low-cost DAC's out there.

I have been playing with HE-Laserscan software for the past couple days and it appears to be a very well designed and full featured laser program for both timeline and live shows. Unlike spaghetti it contains its own show editor and frame creator. Why haven't more people used this alternative. There is a bit of a language barrier but most of the software is in english ans was able to detect my sound card as ED AUD DAC.

Very true.
I said this to the great DR and a few others.
It might help sell the software with a video showing off your software or a demo.
Im sure people who own LSX or Spaghetti or want to own it offer to make a good video of the software would love to get their hands on it and make a video along with an in depth feature review and give it an accurate learning curve as they are reviewing it and learning it all at once.

Spaghetti IS a show editor.

Im sorry but what I meant was, spaghetti does not have a function to allow you to create animaton's or frames, just a couple of "editing" tools.

HE-Laserscan software does allow you to create frames and animations, not to mention it has a user manual, detects sound card dac no problem, allow you to project with the free license. It hasn't crashed on me yet and it doesn't shoot a stuck static beam every time i turn the laser off.

I encourage everyone to give this software out a try.
Download Page

The website and some of the program are in German, which is why I think a lot of people are reluctant to give it a try. But there is an english user manual and most of the program is in english. The program is full featured, its jammed packed and has a really nice interface. There is a freeware version that has a few features blocked, mainly I believe it will only work with 1 projector and some of the time saving tools are disabled. But you can lase with the freeware version.

You can download a demo of spaghetti right from his website. Unfortunately you wont be able to see how it reacts with your scanner until you shell out the green.

Do you buy a car without test driving it?

With a demo that doesnt let you lase its like being shown the car but given no keys to start it.

You're right though, hardly anything is free any more. It didn't used to be that way.
