I ordered a SHINP CL-16RGY and received it today. It seems that when its trying to make yellow the red and green don't mix instead are right next to each other.
I don't have really any experience with projectors as this is my first one. Is this something I could attempt to repair myself?

open it up take some pics the dichros might just be out of alignment

EDIT can you also make it where just the lasers are on not the galvos so all you see is a beam

thanks for the pics so i only see two lasers and i assume there is one more the optics that are on those mounts are the dichros

also if you can get a beam shot(lasers on but not scanning a image) that will probably help i bet it just needs alignment

Its a RGY so it only has a red and green laser and they combine to make yellow. This is a cheap unit and I dont think I can get a beam shot without it moving

well im 99% sure the dichro just needs to be aligned but if you cant stop it from scanning a image it will be incredibly difficult to do so

BTW will the projector run if it is open like shown in the photos

ahh good this way you can see for sure. so put it on a pattern or beam show whatever that is all yellow if possible then look inside.

now you should see what i have in the attached picture.(the red and green could be switched idk)

but what i think you will see is the red and green side by side

check that out for me

Ahh, the good 'ol crappy chinese dichro mounts. About the only way you can try realign these is to remove the glue and re position it yourself, or if the alignment is only off by a tiny bit, you can try gently bending it.

it looks super green heavy but other than that if it misaligned its not by too much

@things it gonna be really hard for him to realign if he cant get the galvos off with the lasers on

thous mounts look like the screw in if you loosen em a bit maybe you can move them around just a little

can you get a less over-exposed picture and is it really that green heavy in person ?

I think I've only made things worse. Can anyone fix this? I will pay them for their time. Instead of sending this all the way back to china
