Hi all,

this is a quick introduction to what I've been doing with lasers the past years. I hang out on the PL forums mostly (same user name) but recently found some great recourses on here. Especially the info on the blu-rays is overwhelming and fantastic. It has me planning a dual blu-ray to add to my RGB projector.

My latest victory is my homebrew 3D laser graphics engine allowing navigation through 3D worlds. Vids are on youtube but I just found out I can't post links yet  :-[
Anyway I'll post them later on for those who want some eye-candy (strictly lasers) can look for ZoofTV on youtube and find my creations:
Real-time 3d graphics
Laseroids - an asteroids clone played on laser projection
LAserTennis - classic Pong on laser projection

All this is purely homebrew laser software working on the Easylase DAC and a homebuilt RGB laser projector with Raytrack 35 plus scanners.

hope you enjoy these links!

here's one of my favorite's: moonbugs splash screen from the 80's

Nice to see you over here Zoof!

Your youtube videos are basically what made me want to start building a homebrew projector. I mean, patterns and animations are nice... but having something interactive is really awesome.

I'm saving some money to get an easylase DAC now. You wouldn't happen to know where I could get a cheap one would you?

That is nice to hear! Inspiring people is flattering to me :D
I have a spare Easylase but I'm hanging onto it for future plans. Sometimes they show up on ebay but not that often - you can try the german site for better luck. Otherwise directly from JMlasers is your surest option.
I would like to see the stuff you're builing, got a pointer to it?

You can post Links by simply removing the http://www. before :)
Then we can just copy and paste it.
And you need just 7 Posts more now to post them full ^^

I really love you creations... Laserpong - this is soo geeky, when i finnish my projector until the 26c³ this year in dec, i would show it there  may i?

Just some suggestions for what you could code next:

This is good. Hi Zoof.

I'm an Xbox 360 game developer, and as you might be able to tell from my post count and laser list below I'm a big lasers fan as well ;)

I would like nothing more than to make games using a Laser Projector. I have a basic 10kpps projector I got, but that may be a little too slow for naught but the simplest games. But I'd still like to give it a shot and maybe one day I can get a nice big 40kpps RGB scanner for games.

So Zoof, will you teach me to make games with a laser projector? :)

Hey Murudai,

you're an official laser addict :) What DAC are you using?

I plan on releasing the engine as a library and make it available to be used by others for exactly this sort of interest.

Then it will be easy, much like openGl programming.
