Hello,
This is my first post on a laser forum so excuse me if im asking strange questions =)
I have bought a pair of 20kpps galvos. The plan is to use them for a 3D printer later on but for now im just trying to learn and controll them. At the moment im using the software Heathcliff and my laptops internal soundcard. I have no problem projecting simple images like a square or stuff like that but when i put it to the test and project the "Guinness Harfe" with about 100points i get very low "frame rates" as shown in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0HlUyNOofE
How can i raise the speed of the output from the computer? I know a DAC is prefered but i have yet not understood what difference it makes compared to a soundcard. Is the lack of speed the reson?
