Hi people.
I am very newbie of laser show and laser equipment in general.

I don't know even if the section where i post this topic is correct.

The story is this.
I am italian and i have this animation laser light.

K-898G SD Card Mini Laser with long distance green laser pointer 80mw - China K-898G SD Card Mini Laser with long distance green laser pointer 80mw, long distance green laser pointer 80mwManufacturer - 3355558

Have a SD card and to view the demo of .ild files inside is not a problem
(same of video on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXJ6w_CuoKg)

The problem is create a .ild file from a image.

When i use the program inside the SD card (ishow laser software and mini ILDA laser v1.12e) the resulted .ild file (still images or animation) don't work correctly on the projector (blank images or strange lines).

Someone of you can help me?
I font' find nothing on internet for help me.

Not sure whats wrong... It's most probably a software problem... have you tried contacting the manufacturer about what software you should use to generate the .ild file?

Also, is the files located in the root directory? Meaning not inside any folders in the SD card?

Lastly, make sure the name of the file is not too long or starts with a number, as some SD card devices have trouble with executing things with odd or long names.

How much was this laser by the way?

file name(including folder name) maximum of 8-bit file name and 3-bit extend name, file name and extend name composed by letters、numbers and underscores.

I've try the files in directory and even in root.

The programs have problem to open the ild files make with the other program.

I paid if i remember correctly 180 euro for the laser (ok... is cheap and from china...probably impossible contact the manufacturer ).
The problem is that there isn't help for the programs.

My brother is become dad (first daughter) and my idea was to project to the wall a simple show (for now...because i want add more images) message to the wall like this

but even if i try with the simple first image i have sometimes blank wall or result like this

DSC03242.jpg

When i see the ild file with the program that i use for create it seems to be ok...preview is correct but when i copy to the SD for see on the projector the result is different (blank or strange lines).

the best result is with a free software called bmp2ild (from the same author i try even ILDView_1.0beta and often don't show correctly ild files made from me with the other 2 programs included with the projector)....no problem to view .ild files included in the card when i buy the projector...as i tell before the files included work...the problem is make .ild files that work)

but is not good for me....

Sorry to inform you, but lasers aren't cheap. Especially projectors, you really get what you pay for with cheap software.

LSX + a RIYA DAC is about 350$~ It's many times better than ishow. You could try Laserboy (free) and a SoundCard DAC, but those are a pain to set up; especially for beginners.

Ok....the problem is that when i buy the projector i know only that the software for use it was inside...i don't know what software and especcially that don't work (like i want when i try to use it). :yabbmad:

Is like to buy a (cheap?) mp3 player and i can't put other mp3 files inside....but the mp3 player work good with the music inside when i try it.

That looks like the galvo's are not tuned properly.... Any one agree?

Or the software isn't adding enough (maybe not any) extra points in the corners to make it slow down and create a sharp corner. If you look at the ilda test image the circle in the center is made this way.

Try opening your file in laserboy and either add some extra points leading into the corners by hand or in the frame menu (h) run the option add angle dwells (m). Make sure you save it as a new file.

Also check the settings menu (tab) and make sure it's set for the right sample rate (f). You should do that first since laserboy uses that setting to calculate it's optimizations.

I also turn off the switch setting (x) for minimum ild output (a).
