I recently bought a Shinp 10k laser off of eBay for $320, it arrived and turned on after a couple of minutes cycling on and off. Then when i tried it after shutting it off once all it does now is cycle on/off/on/off.

Should i return the laser?
Could it be the power supply?
Is the laser i got worth getting the same or should i get a dl33 stepper?

I'd be livid, of course I would contact the vendor ASAP, that's a bit of money to throw away on something that quit working so soon.

What setting do you have it running on?

Is it on sound activated mode? Hence why it is not working correctly?

Just curious.

It is a ilda/dmx/sound scanner and it was seton all of the settings, its like the power supply gave out after 10 minutes.

Dear friend,
I have asked engineer about your matter.
He said it should be the power protection setting of oscillating mirror were deviated.so that the laser access to auto-protection. You only need to adjust a small part to repair it.
The day after tomorrow I will send some pictures to you for Guide.
Please be patient for one or two days because I was in the field to participate in an exhibition.

I finally fix the laser by switching the x and y galvo cables, How did this work?

Oh and i screwed up the tuning on it too, so it looks stepper driven now, haha.
