trying to get some help

Hey everybody. I'm new to posting on the forum but I have been lurking around here and on the LPF for several months now.

Anyways, I am just about ready take the dive and buy my first scanner. I am seeing some of these 20kpps galvos on ebay and was wondering what some of you thought about them.
Others have talked about scanners like spacelas from ebay. I was wondering what you thought about these scanners or should I man up and go somewhere else?
As much as I'd like to get my hands on some DTs or Scanpros, I dont really know where to look for them. Thats the one thing I haven't been able to figure out by searching on here.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Heres a couple links of what I found on ebay but am unsure of.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Whats the difference between the 1st and 2nd (if you can tell)? I know one has more stuff but is it necessary if I'm putting together a sound card DAC?
Also, anyone got an opinion on the quality between 1-2 and 3 from space las?

I'm trying to get into this pretty soon so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ty

All of those links are dead  If you're looking for Scan Pros, Laser Show Parts has them. For DT galvos, I know CT Lasers has the DT 40 Pro and DT 40 Pro Wide sets for $500 and $550 respectively.

I'm not 100% sure, but I once heard that space-las is the manufacturer of the te-lighting galvos. Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong. However, this te-lighting one (20Kpps HightSpeed Galvo System laser galvo scanner NEW - eBay (item 220676129776 end time Nov-28-10 04:16:33 PST)) comes with a DMX so you won't need to buy a DAC right away if you can't fit it in your budget. If you buy the spacelas set, there's not really anything else that you need. I would get a long DB25 cord and a DB25 breakout board to help with the connections.

For a quick and cheap DAC, I'd get the RIYA lite. drlava is selling it over at Photonlexicon.

I just bought the space-las galvos a couple days ago.

thanks man
Update...
i ordered the spacelas PT-30ks
should be here this week
I am going do do the sound card DAC since its the only one that I fully understand whats going on and could probably build the circuit myself after some time with a pen and pad of paper
I will start a new thread for my progress soon.
