Default first time fixing a projector help me!

so basically, i work for a club and i found out we had a laser but it was in repair for the last 2 years because no one ever picked it up.

basically its a 7years old custom rgb ttl laser that originally cost 20K$!! nowaday its not work much anymore, it has 24k galvos, and was originally 500mw total, but the blue laser diode burned out(nothing coming out of it anymore).

im going to try fixing it, i have bought a 150mw blue laser diode with a ttl driver on ebay for about 60bucks, i know its probably crap, but the club doesnt want to put too much on a 7 years old device.

i dont have it in front of me right now, but im trying to figure out what the circuitry is(without having the laser in front of me) i think i figured it out, heres a drawing of it, does it make sens? is it missing something?

A great job the repair facility did, eh?

If it's as old as you say, that'll almost certainly be DPSS (not a diode) at 473nm. You might want to put it up for sale to help cover the cost of the replacement. They're much more expensive than the modern 445/450 diodes. Some people here can try repairing it and it might be a simple fix.

That's a decent block diagram of a typical projector. The scan amps should have their own power supply, though. To replace the blue, all you have to do, really, is give it power and the signal from the ILDA port. Then align the beam. A picture or three would help.

Hard to estimate the price of something with just the sticker value "50mW" and a guess on the wavelength. It depends on the maker, the condition of the module, the market... Somewhere between $10-50? Maybe as high as $100? I dunno. pictures

so i pulled out the laser, it is indeed a dpss blue laser
here is what is writen on it: (on the laser itself)
532nm and 1064nm cw
250mw max
model: bl4737-030
sn:41308
date: 15 sept 2005
class IIIB

and on the driver:
dpssl driver
and theres 3 light on the unit
one that says power (light up)
laser (light up)
alarm(not light up)

the driver has integrated power supply (from 90-240v input)

here is the album for pictures, i found out AFTER removing it that the signal on off cable was cut, and also found out that theres a manual shutter in front of the laser output, so this laser is possibly working or possibly not, i cant really tell since i am not an expert with lasers, i will not put it back in because i already bought a 200mw blue laser to replace it, is this thing worth anything?

heres the album
dpssl laser - Imgur

Put 4-5V into the TTL leads (observe correct polarity) and see what happens. That'll make a big difference in what it's worth.

Black usually means ground. Check where it was connected to the ILDA interface to be sure.

first, is it easy to repair?
if i do not attemp to repair it and try to sell it, what could it be worth?

No, very difficult to repair I'm afraid. Post a thread in the buy/sell/trade section and ask people there what they're willing to pay.
