That's great news!

My first foray into laser shows was with I-Show. I was not pleased.

I read that the main problem with I-Show was the software and that it was MUCH better with Spaghetti.

I got a copy of Spaghetti and was very happy with the improvement in my beams and patterns.

Spaghetti is a great, less expensive, way to get into laser shows.

I had to let the laptop that I used with my first projector go. However, I still have my projector. As soon as I replace the laptop, Spaghetti will go right back on to run it.

Peace,
dave

i tried the demo version today but i cant handle it.
Tried importing a song, adding effect layers and stuff...but i cant see the effect.
For example the draw effect or something. When i hit the draw effect, how can i "draw" then. there are only some sliders. And no matter how i put those settings it wont show when i select "play show".

is this a issue with the demo version?

Effects layers are a somewhat advanced feature because it requires some configuration. You have to add the source layer(s) to it for it to be applied. Right click on the effects layer and assign one or more source layers to it and then the effects layer will override to source layer. Unlike other laser software this gives you a lot more power since you can assign effects layers to multiple layers, including other effects layers. But, you have to understand the concepts in order to apply it.

To add text, you just right click on an Animation layer and add text. Then you stretch out the text element. Select the Text Element and you'll see it's configuration above the Timeline. Size the red box for the text and the use the other buttons to control alignment, scrolling, etc.

I'd recommend loading up an already made project to see what it looks like on the timeline as a first start. I'll be including a sample project in a future version. I even had a musician compose a custom song for me so that I can include it without worrying about RIAA coming down on me. :)

Also, join the hinged newt forum so that you can get tips and advice from other users who know the system well.

Once you learn the basic concepts, creating shows is easy.

Is there a tutorial or walkthrough?
I wanna make a quick beamshow to see how everything works.
Time tunnel, making it shrink, rotate, chance color, put in some beams, make them chance position, that kind of stuff.
Oh and make a simple human thats walking as a graphic show.
I will register there if its good software for me...
If you could reply änd link me it would be great:)

I just read it and it is not possible to draw a shape yourself?:(
You need to load ilda files first?
and if you want the ilda to chance shape you need to edit it again in the other app where it was made?
Or am i missing something here?

So how do I get this demo version to work with a souncard dac? It doesnt seem to be able to detect the modified soundcard. I'm quite sure the soundcard is okay since it works with LFI, but i don't see any way to use it with spaghetti...

I'm probably overlooking something very obvious, anyone got a clue?

Oic.. I figured it would be a time limited trial or something so that you can at least test it on an actual projector. Too bad.
