Aawwwww -- my green light doesn't flash and your "here" takes me nowhere :'(

Just a bad day and tomorrow, I inspect a home which was occupied by CATS and a little ol' lady for 40 years  Hope I don't puke..

ok i guess you don't have dial-up then! ;D ;D ;D ;Dafter installing net 1.1, open JS_DMX, and a little box with 3 red boxes should be up in the corner of your screen. the little boxes should say DMX IN, DMX OUT and BLACKOUT. click on the "dmx out" button, and a little box should pop up. now you have to find which port your box is plugged into, for me, it's port 4, but it can be different for you. just go through and find which port is the box, and once you have, click "open port". by now, the little LED on the box should be flashing, and the LED on the laser should be flashing too. next select how many channels to TX, i just use 12, more is not nessecary. close that little box, and you should be right to go!

I thought USB did away with port assignments like olden days of LPT and Ser.
I printed this out.  I saw the boxes and didn't understand port assignment on USB.

Mike

OK -- Green lightz !!! Port 4, I finally found the "welcome" -- is that real ??? There seems no reason to the inputs but I'll read your list and try again -- But I have control only limited to me now !!

Thanks again ---

Mike

Hi, I've been thinking about one of these and after reading all the information here and elsewhere I'm almost certain this is the model I'm going to get.
I have one question if you don't mind.

How big is this unit? H x W x D?

I read on one website it's 320mm x 220mm x 150mm. 12.6 x 8.7 x 5.9 inches

Is that correct?

It just looks bigger on all the websites and reviews I've read.

If it is that big/small it really packs a punch from all the pics and videos I've seen.

Thanks in advance for the info!

:)

that seems about right, but give me some time and i'll measure it for you ;) yep i definatley packs a punch! in haze, this thing is awesomely bright! i could see it at the back of the hall i went to for the concert, with some of the other lights on, so it is very bright! you can even see the beams slightly without fog at night if you slow the scanning right down!

Cool.
Sounds good.
I just sent you a PM with some additional questions.
Sorry to be a pain.

Thanks!

Green --
Mine may be a little smaller than that but it's a solid unit. My wife wants me do do a classical music show sometime !!!

Things ---

We have control ;D ;D ;D Thanks for your help. It's hard to move all the pots and get what you want but it takes time to figure what's happening. Eventually, there will be programmable software to set up a show. I see that you can move chan 1 up to auto or sound while you input other settings - then GO. The two bars at the far right do wild things unspecified.

Thanks ---

Mike

PS: I got my SenKat stuff today -- yours should be coming too.

great to hearr you got it going! ya you can control sound and auto modes from the DMX, which is nice because if you don't want to control the laser, just stick it on sound or auto right from your computer! have you got it to do the "welcome" pattern? oh for
Grn_n_TX, sorry i made a mistake! it's actually 140mw version, sorry :-[

No problem!
I'll email him to see about prices.
Have you seen any of the other brands from this guy on eBay? chinalasershop
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300150673652&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=020

but it only says 130mW.
:-[

This one is 140mW but it looks different than yours. It has a black case.

Specs for the RGY projos are quite similar. The 140 mW units use a 100 mW red and a 40 mW green.
