CDS vs DAC Dispute

I have been talking to Chinese Detaprtment Store about the laser I am getting and I mentioned about a DAC. Now they are insisting everyone here is wrong, a DAC has nothing to do with lasers and you all are meaning to say DECK.

I have been under the impression from this site and others that hardware like pangolin and such are all DACs, aparently not according to CDS.

Edit: I just got threatened to buy a laser from them or go elsewhere over a argument over what a DAC is.

Double Edit: He/she must have seen this topic now, they have change their tone a bit.

What is a DECK then....? CDS :-? you most probably got someone who knew very little about what they were talking about..............

DECK??? As in, like, a CD player??

If anyone wants to explain to them, be my guest...

It could be that whole Engrish translation too. If you say DAC as a word it sounds very similar to DECK. I have been dealing with CNI for the past few weeks and sometimes the understanding between the sales lady and I just isn't there. Of course, I wouldn't doubt for a moment that the guy from CDS is just be an idiot too.
