That looks like it will work, but I included a link directly to the proper card in the tutorial. Also, I just updated the tutorial with a complete wiring diagram for the DAC. You prompted me to make it since not everyone has the hardware before they read the tutorial. Hopefully it will help!

wait isnt the correction amp already in the sound card? and does it matter that the sound card on ebay is a 5.1 sound compared to the one on dealextreme that is 7.1?

No. The correction amp kit must be purchased from drlava. It is a DIY kit, so it contains an empty board and all the parts, which you assemble and solder yourself. There is a link to his order page right at the beginning of the tutorial.

Having the 2 extra channels is useful if you ever go to create your own shows later once you have a decent laser in your scanner. You can use them to sync the show up to music.

ok i c now. so both galvos positive are going to the amp correction board and both galvos negative are going to the sound card bored ground?

Sort of. If you look at the wiring diagram in the tutorial it shows each connection and where every wire will go. The wires coming from the galvo amps will go to 1, G for X and 2,G for Y on the correction amp output, which are the first four pins going from the left.

ok i c. so which pcb bored do i need to buy. the one for 17 dollars or the one for 40 dollars? and do i need to solder the components on?

The one for 17 is the empty board alone, without any components. The 40 dollar kit contains everything.. I'd go with the $40 kit.

Yes. It's a kit either way. If you have any questions during the construction, you can always post here. drlava or I (among others) will usually be around to answer..

hmm idk now, i suck at soldering and there is no way i can make that work. can i buy any prebulit PCB boreds?

I can work something out with you if you're interested.. The only way you'll be able to get one pre-built is if you get someone to build it for you. PM me if you're interested in having me build it for you. I can also build the entire DAC for you if you'd like.

what are any green laser modules under 50 dollars that are able to be used in a laser show system and that have a good heatsink so that i will be able to have the laser on for a while without it over heating? and support blanking. and that is some what powerful enough for a beam to show in the dark? would i be able to use this?

ok sweet that looks nice and i should be able to get an ok beam show out of that. so how many wires are coming out of that? and how do i hook this up to the dac? cuz i know where the positive goes its just that im unsure where the negative/ground goes?
