I'm stuck here at work now with nothing to do and about 9 hours left here. Just today I started working with a tracing program and I have run out of logo's to make.:D If anybody needs a logo traced just post the logo here and I will do my best basic trace. The simpler the logo the better it will look after the trace. Also, at this time I'm only going to be doing single color.

here are some samples of what I have done already.

You need to throw all those in a zip file for us lazy people :)

I'll get back to you about logos.. I have some stuff I'd love to see in a .ild file.

any idea if your files are optimized?

i am new to scanners and found that laser illusions burned up my nice catweezle driver's power supply.

i switched to some cheap 30ks and they still make noise with laser illusions also. I was told that the files probably were not optimized so i am scared to use that software.

i have a dmx board that came with my scanners and they run really quiet off that but not sure how fast the scanning is.

Yeah.. optimization is important. Some programs and frames will make a little noise no matter what, it's just when the galvos heat up that it becomes an issue. As long as these .ild frames are pretty simple you shouldn't have to worry too much.

I have a really simple logo, and no idea on how to trace it (I just started with scanners. I got my 20/30k scanners working finally!) Now, the only way I know how to play files is with LaserBoy (I'm using a Sound Card DAC I built). So, I'm pretty sure that if you sent me it as a .ild, I can convert it into a .wav

Well, I know you just asked this as an "I'm at work and am bored" thing, but... my logo is VERY simple. It's all lines, and I wouldn't think it would take that long. So if you, or anybody else who knows how to do this, would be willing to do this for me, I'd be most appreciative (and may give +1 rep ;) ).

And a little side note, the bottom of the lightning bolt is supposed to be pointy... it's cut off slightly if you zoom in.

Almost every lasershow program can open .ild's. To make them, there are a few programs. I use TraceIT, Draw3D etc, but that are Pangolin programs, so not free.

You can use Moncha draw, and if you need any help I know how to use it quickly, I made these in it:

Man, THANKS KGB... I completely forgot that I asked this in here. I really appreciate it, it looks GREAT :) (well, my blanking is messed up, but that's on my part. I need a faster TTL driver too, I may switch to a flexmod, as the driver I'm using now only goes up to 5kHz.)

Edit: And also, thanks for the tips Things... I'll probably look into Moncha Draw.
