there just standard chinese 30k scanners, not good but not bad either.

they will be fine for beams shows, text and animations.

I'm going to buy the scanner set mentioned above and will try to make an review..

That same galvo set is available direct from the manufacturer (spacelas.com) for $88USD plus $45 3-4 day shipping which is a bit cheaper than that ebay listing. They're only actually capable of 20kpps..

EDIT: noesc beat me to it..

I am not having good luck with these. they may be good for beam shows, but i can't get them to do graphics worth looking at.

The seem identical to the set i ordered from spacelas directly (at $88+45), they rate them as 20 kpps, though that depends on the required angle entirely.

As they are the first set of galvo's i own, its difficult to compare, but they seem to do the job. I would recommend ordering directly from spacelas, their customer service is excellent. In the initial shipment one of the mirrors was broken of one of the galvos, and they had a replacement delivered within a week witout problems or extra charges.

Just talked to Sam,
hes sending me the PT-30K set for 220$ shipped, which is about 165€, 15 more compared to the eBay galvos. Plus i get a real 30k set...

Thanks for the advice noesc ;)

Please let me know how the scanners work out for you all.

I have been on vacation and was able to finally get my projector laid out and was able to do some computer controlled scanning and graphics....

Seeing white laser beam for the first time is very very cool.
