Here's my spirograph for under 40$ everything shipped to Spain. If you are in USA even less. I know I don't have any soldering skill, but for what it's needed its more than enough :p The thing that is holding the motors is nothing else than a R/C car wheel.

1 Tuperware - 1$
3 Mirrors - 10$ shipped from LarryFDW
3 Motors- 7$ shipped from pagermotors.com
3 Switches (3 positions) - 5$ local store
3 100ohms Pots - 15$ (kinda riped here) local store

Everything sticked with cyanocrilate, wires soldered and nothing else.

Total amount of time spent on it = 6 hours (making another would be MUCH less, but it was just my first one xD)

I'm uploading photos with avi extension because I'm not allowed to upload then on RAR, just change extension back to RAR.

Video here:

Yours,
Albert

I first tried to put the motors in a solid base. Vibration, a lot of vibration.

Then I thought of puting theme somewhre flexible. les vibrations but vibrations again. And i thought, If when I get it with my fingers it doesn't vibrate so much, maybe I should press them somehow... clamps! and there is the solution. the elastics are just to keep the clamps in place, it loos wierd, but without the elastic it doesn't do a shit xD

I'm uploading the video on youtube and I go to sleep as it will take an hour. Tomorrow I post it :p

Btw, the video is somehow ugly because I had to take a lot of care the laser to stay steady as I need it to hold it with my hand and I didn't had lot of time to chagne the pots etc. Anyway to show that it works its alredy Ok :D

The video looks good Albert, lots of paterns, some with 3D effect that you only get with 3 motors.
I cannot see the pictures anywhere?

Now that is funny as hell!!

I cant see why you was getting any vibration with those mirror mounts....HAHHAHAHA!!

BUT...I loved the effects you were getting in that video so much you have inspired me to make a 3 mirror instead of a 2 mirror, Thanks!

I am going to take it one step further though and make a 3 head RGB...I think!

Cheers
