Its rather simple, buy a dichroic lense that alows the red laser to pass through and reflect the green laser. You wont find one perfect, it will be something like passing 85% of red and reflecting 95% green.

You then simple place the dichroic lense at 45 degrees to the red laser and point the green laser 45 degrees at the oposite side of the dichro. This will combing both beams, then you just have to point the combined beams at your galvos and whalah!

I am assuming you already have the parts needed for this?

Ah, well what kind of patterns are you planning on making? If you want fairly complex, night club style' effects you are going to need to spend some money on buying kits to do so. If you just want a simple tunnel effect but with more than 1 colour laser its a lot easier.

Imagine your red laser at the top left of your screen pointing towards the right. Now imagine your green laser at the middle bottom of your screen pointing up towards the top. Where these two lasers cross each other you will need a beam splitter (dichroic) this will let the red pass right through and keep going to the right of your screen, at the same time it will reflect your green laser towards the right of your screen so both laser beams will be heading the same direction.

To the top right of your screen, where both beams will be heading is your mirrors. Now you can have some fun, you can turn off the green laser and have a red tunnel or turn off the red laser and have a green tunnel or have them both on which should give you a nice yellow tunnel.

what makes the tunnel. isnt there moving parts, motors etc.

You can make a tunel easily, its just a little more complicated to use more than 1 laser.

If you have a motor of some kind simply stick a mirror to the motor, make sure its not perfectly level... It must be slightly off. I would recommend you stick it to the motor well, I heard a story on here that someone stuck their mirror to the motor and when they turned it on the mirror came off and hit them in the head. Bluetack works well for me but it depends on how powerful the motor is really.

Ok so now once you have stuck your mirror to it simply turn on the motor and point the laser at the now spinning mirror. Obviously because the mirror is slightly off set it will create a perfect circle. The more off you level the mirror the bigger the tunnel will be.

you can rip open the lid from an old CD player put a CD in stick a mirror to that and hit play then that will also make a spinning mirror, but do it with a CD player you dont mind being broken ;)

Brilliant! I was looking for small easy ways to make cool light effects. That would be perfect. Nice tip
