This setup started off fine, but then the house manager decided to raise the light rack a little to better cope with the LED walls.. made my life a living hell. Things turned out OK, but between the intelligent lighting and the decor there was quite a bit of beam blockage.. With more warning I would have been able to bring in some stands and reposition, but the change was made about an hour before the show.

You have to watch those lighting guys. They are always putting their crap in the way of the lasers. :shhh:

I really considered using an entire roll of duck tape on the router you left in the truss. But hey, I'm a nice guy with some new diodes and drivers. ;)

Looking nice Paul, what's the projector specs?

I noticed the beams in your first video were a bit close to the audience, but I didn't see the beams touch anyone so I assume everyone was instructed to keep clear..

My current projector has 1.6 watts of green, ~1 watt of blue (445 running at 1000mA) and +600mW of red (two LPC-826's with PBS cube running in parallel at 1000mA). I had the projector running FULL bright during testing. All those people in the room were helping setup and knew not to walk in the beam.

Before we opened the doors and let everyone in, I turned on my preconfigured 'projection zone map' which cuts almost all of the power below 7 feet.

Love that feature in Pangolin Beyond/QuickShow - Works great!

Good to hear that you're putting those attenuation zones to use! Sounds like a nice system all around..

*picks jaw up off the floor*

That's a huge module for just 1w of 642? agreed though, it looks like a very high quality module.

+2 for you.

Looking good man! I see you've become familiar with the thrills of paint parties.. cleanup is always tons of fun! Dayglow should be a good time lol.. it was a real mess here. It's probably because I'm getting old and jaded but I prefer regular old NON-paint parties.

Ohh man i loved the video's...
Must feel great standing behind controls with so much laser power.

Really loved all the colors and mixing!
Also very nice overhead safe scanning!

Loved it!
