Is that someone's head in the beams there in the top pic lol? Looks good other than that!

I think there are regs concerning how much radiation the performers at a show can be exposed to. I can't remember the specifics since I usually take steps to ensure the performers get zero direct exposure just like the audience, but when you go to submit your show report you'll no doubt see that section. It's not quite like audience scanning, where the regs are VERY strict, since performers can be instructed about the hazards and their acts can theoretically be crafted around any exposure zones. I've even seen shows where the exposed performers just wore laser safety goggles during the periods of exposure to protect themselves. You'll just need to clarify exactly how the performers will be protected from any direct exposure that might occur.

Ya, thats a head....Not my idea but there was no way to avoid it....we had to close the stage to everyone except the DJ and MC and I spent a good 15 min explaining why they had to be super careful to not look back.... they were super cool about it and absolutely loved being inside the beams. They even helped me take down at the end of the night, asking all kinds of questions about the lasers lol..... but ya....definitely not a good setup. I have been to this club before and never had this problem....but for this show they added a stage riser so it brought them up just enough to be in the way.

ya I hate low ceilings.. here's a show I did two weeks ago for Cosmic Gate (sound SUCKS in the vids) with a 2W green and 2 1.5W blue projectors:

Booty halloween 8 - YouTube

Booty halloween 8 - YouTube

This setup started off fine, but then the house manager decided to raise the light rack a little to better cope with the LED walls.. made my life a living hell. Things turned out OK, but between the intelligent lighting and the decor there was quite a bit of beam blockage.. With more warning I would have been able to bring in some stands and reposition, but the change was made about an hour before the show.

Kudos! What controller and software are you using? Pangolin QM2000 with LivePro?

^That's all you need IMO.. I run 3 FB3s from a single laptop running Quickshow and that setup makes for some pretty ridiculous capability for not too much money compared to Pangolin's "pro" options. Wouldn't mind checking LivePro out, but from what I can tell Quickshow is very nearly as capable. Personally I haven't felt the need for anything more yet.

Livepro is great but takes soo much more attention than QS does...I dont have time to be playing with LP all night......But it is amazing :)

QS is just soo much easier and can do basically everything that LP can

Subscribed,

Nice Build. I saw your smaller unit for sale recently, but can't remember where.

The projectors are the best thing about this hobby IMHO.
