Spotted an interesting laser-show device for $14.95 over on ThinkGeek.com (search for "Pocket Laser Light Show").
Has anybody tried one of these? I've got one on order.
I figure it might be interesting as it stands, or at least a cheap source of parts for a project.

Here it is. Not sure if this is spam or not but this actually looks promising. Looks pretty easy to take apart and switch in a green laser or something stronger at least.

I think I'm gonna buy this just because I have no idea how to make my own laser and spirograph.

You can get it on sale at Spencer"s Gifts for $9.99 plus 5.95 ground shipping.
Don't know if they same prices goes for the Spencer's Gift stores in the mall or not.

Cool - looks like it's worth the price.
Would have been better if it had some galvanometers and a control circuit, but I guess that would be expecting too much for 10-15 bucks.

Yep, price is cheap enough!
You can even get a beer and hot dog at the ballgame for that price!
I'll let you know how it looks when it comes in. They said it would ship FedEx ground so who knows when that might be....

Interesting. I think I'm gonna pick one up for my son ---- he might be able to use it for a project in his HS film-making class.

I'll let you know how it works. Mine should be here Tuesday.

I'll probably sell it as soon as I check it out so if you are interested in it let me know.
I'll let it go cheap.
Let me know.

Just picked up two of these at the local Spencer's. Sold out online, but they had plenty instore, and they are $9.99 a piece.. what a steal.

Brought it home, fed it some AAA's, and it's a pretty decent little device. Literally fits in the palm of your hand. Has settings for manual and automatic operation. Manual operation consists of a speed knob and direction switch for each of the motors. The laser of course is a <5mw red, you you can see the diode can if you look through the projection lens. I'm definitely going to see what it will take to make it able to accept my DX30 :)

I bought two, so one will be coming apart tonight and I will try to take some pictures.
