Man- I don't blame you one bit-- I have been known to call in 'well' at some jobs where my being there or not will make little diff.

Mine is here and unboxed. The box was wrapped with several layers of plastic wrap. I am waiting for awhile to test it though as there was some moisture inside due to what I assume was condensation from being wrapped the way it was. No damage to the box though, so I assume all will be well once it has time to dry out a bit.

I actually get out of work @ 3:30. So I was getting ready to leave.

Anyway I'm gome and I have both GOOD news and some not so good news!

Good news is the laser is here! Bad? Well as I mentioned... It's damaged! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU DHL!

I swear they must try really hard to crush these... Anyway heres how mine arrived. I have not powered the unit yet.





Here is the damage DHL did. I have no idea if the unit is damaged beyond this. It looks ALOT worse in person. There is a crease on the top thats very noticable. It looks as if they dropped a heavy package on it or stacked hundreds of LBS on it. This is what happened to 4 out of 5 packages I got from DHL.

That is unfortunate to see Jeff, apparently my neighbor signed for mine so hopefully it is still around/not stolen when I get home.

DHL just can=me by- 4PM tex time- he also just dropped of one to my bud in the next town over-- shook his hand( twice) and had a quick chat- he now knows its OK to leave boxes on my porch and sign for me-- Plugging it in NOW!!

Linna included a plug for the E-stop so it wont be hard to build my own with any key switched push botton switch

Mine also was rewrapped- but the inner box was still sealed- I was wowwed wen I plugged it in- the alignment look spot on the yellow shows almost no red or green the magenta looks good too. Th white is a little off & that may mean the 635 red is making ot look pinkish but its no big deal - the stuff in auto is more inpressive that what I saw in the vids posted by Brad at P/L - the one lumia moves to fast and jsut goes on and off but the other does morph but again too fast for my personal tastes
I like mine slow like 1/2 to 1/3 rpm -- the 3D made with the lenticuler lens is very cool. and the diff grates make for nice multi images- Pics later- I am suddenly very hungry- I dont think I ate much once our boxes reached Ohio and I did not get much sleep either..


PLEASE post some vids at youtube for me- i need to sell one Linna at a profit asap- I borrowed the $$ from a friend to cover one guy that had to drop out at the end- btw I will be asking $650 at ebay for it-- or best offer-- LaserWorld Ebay has a 500 ttl RGB that does none of these special efx and they want IIRC close to 1k$ for it--

But...Good news is that my wife has left for work...and I have NOT!

Called in....which means I have about 10 hours until she returns to familarize myself with the machine (once it arrives)! Any time now......................

to Jeff- I see that dent- lets hope you can just push it back and that it had no effect on how it works-- you definetly have way to much bad luck with DHL- I had no control in the shipper choice- I asked for Fed EX but only becasye it was slightly cheaper- but slower-- Linna had read the post where I predicted arrival by Ap 4th and she upped us to DHL as they deliver 2 or 3 days faster and in all my dealing s with dhl not one box was ever dented..out od ten boxes if that is the only damage ( & its no biger problem) I would say over all thats fairly good shipping- we do not know what Fed Ex would have done- or how much longer we had to wait..

Okay, So I decided to power mine up and get familiar with it. It is NOT broken! YAY! I can always trust DHL to bang my packages up really bad though. So after inital powerup it was amazing! I'm 100% happy with mine and all of the preloaded stuff thats in it! It will be nice when I can get a serial cable so I can mess around with ********* a bit.

THE BAD STUFF!

Color mix on mine is a bit off. I really don't see white. I see blue.

Now, it's worth mentioning that the alignment on mine is "close" but after about 5' you can really start to tell that my alignment is off. My green and red seem to be off JUST a tad. I'm not sure I can move them horizontally though? I have not looked under the base plate. My blue seems to be alligned perfectly with red and green but my blue and green mix are good but it seems my red is lacking . May just be because of the alignment though.

Now another few things that were worth mentioning. 2 of my dichros had finger prints on them. Nothing major. I suggest you guys clean yours. After I cleaned mine the colors looked alot more sharp! (No I didn't knock my green/red out of alignment!)

Lastly could you guys let me know if all the fans work on your lasers? The red and blue are both running but my green's fan doesnt seem to move at all. It might be dead? IDK.

The good!

Very bright beams! I have this running in a dimly lit room and I can see the beams perfectly! It's amazing!

The patterns are awesome!

The unit is very quiet! I can only hear the fan in the back running.

Very solid and sturdy! For something made in china this sure is a solid laser.

Out of all honesty if i had to give it a rating from 1-5 I'd say its a 4/5. There are some VERRRRRY minor things that I mentioned above but some were/may caused by DHL.

for 510$ shipped this is a very nice unit! I LOVE it!

Got mine powered up and just had it on my lap pointed at the ceiling. WOW! MUCH brighter then I expected. Yellow and white look awesome, although I was only looking at them a max of 6 or 7 feet away.

I haven't even bothered with hooking it up to QS yet. The auto mode is great. I really like the diffraction gratings and lumina effects.

Now I just have to find a spot to mount this correctly and a blank surface to project on to.

Anyone figured out how to get the projection smaller? My reke has a nice knob on it.
I'm sure it's simple...still playing...

Anyone else having trouble getting the sound activated shows working? I turned my sound to 9 as mentioned in the book and it still auto shuts off with like 100+ Db of sound going into it xD

OH, btw. I'm uploading a video to YT. Not sure when it will be done. My color mix is still off but it looks MUCH better at night and the colors are much better.

I HAVE SOLVED MY ALIGNMENT ISSUE! WARNING!

Okay So I figured out why my alignment was off. When the projector arrived the alignment seemed pretty good (at least I thought) Then it went to crap. Confused I just thought maybe it had not been as great as I first thought? JUST now I moved the projector to a different spot and just ever so slightly bumped the front. All of the sudden my alignment was perfect! Confused I tinkered with it a bit and found that the DICHRO's were mounted to the underside of the projector! After about 10 seconds and a screwdriver I was able to get alignment PERFECT!.

Ss just a warning to anyone who may run into a problem with alignment. If you are going to be moving your projector around like to a party or something. Bring a phillips screwdriver or make sure you locktite those screws!

On a side note, my white balance has drastically improved. This thing is even better then when it got here! I would now give this projector 5/5

I see the vertical orientation seems to be 180 out with QS...if show a pic upright on QS and on my reke...upside down on my Linna laser. Not a huge problem...can adjust orientation in projector...just mentioning.
But truly amazed my wife and a friend when they got off work last night!

Still working out how to control size of projection...some would fit great on my 10X10 screen I have outside...but then the Burst Grating display All over the place! 8)
